Virtual COM port for advanced monitor configuration

The virtual COM port allows you to configure advanced settings such as the key assignment of the display via a terminal program.

Procedure for an Update

  1. Download the file Zip File.
  2. Extract the downloaded archive EMBU-MON.inf to an arbitrary location.
  3. Disable driver signature verification:
    Restart Windows™ by holding the SHIFT key while clicking on Restart.
    Alternatively, you can enter the command shutdown.exe /r /o /f /t 00 in th command line console.
    While shutting-down, select the optionsResolving Problems, Advanced Options, Startup Settings.
    When the PC re-boots, chose the option 7) Force to disable driver signature.
  4. Open the device manager (Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Device Manager).

  5. From now on, a virtual COM port is set up for the advanced settings of the display.
